In our Auctions we agree a sensible reserve with the vendor prior to the auction. We do not disclose the reserve price, what we say to everyone is bid what you are happy to pay. If the item ends and does not meet reserve but the final bid is VERY CLOSE to the reserve we will contact the highest bidder to see if there is a deal to be had.

Cherished and charming, rare and remarkable, these words immediately spring to mind when I look round this car. If you are you looking for one of these - stop the clocks because you have found the one. This is quite original and unrestored throughout, it has spent it's life garaged and believe it or not - there is zero rot. These little convertibles were built in few numbers and ever fewer were built in right hand drive form, and even fewer remain.. and fewer still will come close to presenting in the sort of condition we see here.
This is jaw on the floor stuff... When you run your fingers around the inside of the front wing wheel arches and the edges feel perfect like new. The joins from the front valance to the both front wings have perfect seams that are totally unblemished. Every folded metal panel join is unblemished too, it's quite unbelievable. Although these are for great points of the car it is almost 50 years old and there are some bad points.
A long time ago it's had a respray and it was rather a lazy one to be critical. It would appear that it hasn't been masked up particular well so there is off spray on some parts and the general finish is quite orange peel'y. This could all be rectified with another respray of course and you wouldn't need to spend alot of money with this being such a tiny car with no roof.
Speaking of the roof.. it's great! It's all in one piece and folds up and down with ease. There are no holes, and the plastic screen is fine. There is a fitted tonneau cover, and it fits well and completes the convertible.
The cabin defies all expectations, there is nothing shabby about it at all with lovely clean dry carpets, vinyl chairs that do not look their age at all and driving controls that are easy to use and well presented. Peugeot really dropped the ball in the 80's and 90's compared to the build quality of this little car from the early 70's.
The underside is as well preserved as the rest of the car and needs to be seen to be believed. There is a video linked above with some shots of the underside.
There are 8 keepers on the V5 the most recent keepers covering 26yrs of ownership.
She starts off the key and runs well enough to drive on public roads and it keeps up with traffic, you can use this. It's not a project by any means, it's ready to enjoy and it has enormous potential if you have plans for it.
