A loved classic convertible two-seater in great condition in a striking Navy Blue with a black hood
It has a full MOT @ 97,210 miles with no advisories. It has recently had a full service & is in good mechanical order
With it being an earlier model, it has the more elegant chrome bumpers at the front and rear.
The original 1.8-litre B-series engine has been swapped to an upgraded 2.0-litre inline-four, with a gas-flowed and ported Stage II cylinder head. It is also equipped with a lightened flywheel, K&N air filters, and a solid state fuel pump. There is also electronic ignition, and AccuSpark triple ground spark plugs and a new distributor. The MG is fitted with a stainless steel exhaust, upgraded brake discs and pads at the front, and wire wheels with matching Avon tyres all round.
Other features include a rear luggage rack which really catches your eye, a smart walnut burr dashboard, three-spoke steering wheel, and a contemporary InPhase stereo head unit with CD and MP3 playback. It also comes with a spare key.
The exterior bodywork has no obvious defects or damage and is in good condition, and its soft-top roof is in good shape.
Its Navy Blue paintwork is in good order with some very minor blistering to the rear section and boot lid.
Its black leather upholstery is in good order, with just some normal age-related creasing and an attractive patina.
An aftermarket InPhase stereo has been installed.
The oil and filter, spark plugs have been changed and the gearbox and rear axle oil have been topped up . The steering rack has stripped and serviced and all the grease points have been lubricated.
The oil pressure sits constantly at 65psi with correct water temperature, and will drive along happily at 70mph in fourth gear at 2,500rpm, with working overdrive in both 3rd & 4th gears.
Overall this MGB Roadster is a smart classic two-seater, which features an upgraded engine and flywheel, and is running and driving extremely well.
