QUESTIONS & ANSWERSAsk a Question
Hi, I can see the auction has finished but is this still for sale please? Michael.
I'm afraid this Ducati is now sold and is with it's new owner now.
Dear sir, Is there a reserve on this listing please?
Yes there is a reserve on this item. We agree a sensible reserve with the vendor prior to the auction.
We do not disclose the reserve, what we say to everyone is bid what you are happy to pay. If the item ends and does not meet reserve then we will contact the highest bidder to see if there is a deal to be had.
2021 Ducati Diavel. AUCTION FINISHED
This bike was new in March 2021 and has covered no miles at all.
The waiting list for this bike has been extensive and interest has peaked since the Lamborghini Sian appeared on the new season of Top Gear. We have heard of a couple of these bikes exchanging hands for way over the £30k retail price, and even reaching just under 50k. This is one of only 19 that have been allocated to the UK.
Given that Ducati has been part of the same sub-section of Volkswagen as its near neighbour Lamborghini ever since 2012 it’s surprising that we haven’t seen much collaboration between the two firms. Now they’re making up for lost time with the Diavel 1260 Lamborghini – a limited-production exotic that takes its cues from Lambo’s most powerful road car yet.
We knew this bike was coming as its name appeared on documents in July 2020, but until now it’s been unclear how the two firms’ tie-in would be presented.
The muddy green paint – or Verde Gea, to give it its official name – might not be the sort of eye-searing colour that Lamborghini is famed for but it’s the launch hue of the firm’s Siàn FKP 37, an 808hp hybrid that will be limited to just 63 examples in tribute to Lamborghini’s foundation in 1963.
