Mini Mayfair 1994 AUCTION FINISHED

A good solid example of the iconic British city car, which would benefit from a few minor cosmetic improvements. Power comes from a 1275cc inline-four engine, which drives the front wheels via a three-speed automatic transmission.

The ‘Mayfair’ Mini was well-specified from the factory, benefitting from a wooden dashboard and seats fitted with head rests. Included with the vehicle is the V5C showing five prior owners, the owner’s manual, one key and a copy of the MOT history, along with numerous receipts pertaining to work carried out.

There is no known bodywork damage. The paintwork is in good condition throughout, with some minor stone chips noted on the front end. The chrome bumpers and detailing look to be in good condition, though there are some minor pitting marks on the front grille. Inside, the cabin presents well for its age, with only the usual slight scuffs to areas such as the sill trims and lower door cards, along with some wear to the seats and head rests. The headliner has a large hole, which is located above the passenger side sun visor. There is also a small pin hole in the edge of the front passenger seat base. Importantly, the dashboard looks to be in very good condition and retains its original Rover stereo.

There are no known faults with any of the systems or switchgear in the cabin, and no warning lights on the dashboard. The latest MOT exam took place on 19 May 2021, and resulted in a clean pass with no advisories. According to the vendor, the car was last serviced during 2016 and 2015, and has required no repairs or additional maintenance during their ownership. There are no known mechanical faults with the vehicle, with this Mini reportedly driving very well on the road.

With its iconic looks, nimble handling and bags of charm, the classic Mini is a popular and characterful runabout. This 1994 Rover Mini Mayfair is an even better choice in the city thanks to its automatic transmission, and while there are a few small areas that would benefit from tidying up, this is a usable modern classic that is sure to charm its next owner.
